Hi boys...

Been looking through the Peter Burgess book "How to Power tune MGB 4 cyl engines" Im currently looking through the camshaft section. It has a bit of info regarding the following camshafts...
Piper HR270 (Magnum)
Piper HR285 (Magnum)
Piper BP300
Piper BP320
Kent 715
Kent 717
Kent 718
Kent 719
but nothing in regard to "WADE" Camshafts

Anyone know much about em?

Finally someone is reading the same book as I am.
If you read it through Peter Burgess really recommends only one manufacturer which is Piper.
I followed one of is receipes which included, Piper 270, K&N, AAA needles in HIF4, Peco Big Bore exhasut system.

Having a new head being redone as I write this.

Heya Eric...
Im interested in the peco exhaust, ive heard they'r really good... are they actually red all over?

Whats the note like?

I have the PECO Big Bore system with matching header from PECO.
It used to be red (it's only paint you know) but I had mine covered inside and outside with a ceramic coating.

So now everything is black.

The huge advantage of the coating is to reduce under hood temperatures. Remember this is coating not plating.

It was pretty expansive too. To coat it costed about the same price as the whole system.

As noted in Peter Burgess book the Peco system is the only one delivering added performance, but although a performance system the noise level is very low more of a brute in nature.

At highway speed this sytem is very nice and you won't feel like you head is stuck in a baril! My 66 Sunbeam Alpine has an Ansa system and at highway speed it is too noisy.

Installation is very easy all pipes were in my case bented properly.

You can also buy the regular PECO system (not big bore) that will attach nicely to the MGB manifold.

The PECO header does however increase underhood noises compared to the manifold and in the case of the header only does not provide any added performance when compared to the MGB manifold.
