Cam Installation

Are there any good websites or other published material on all the finer points of dialing in a new cam on a TR6? There is a lot of info on selling them but no specifics on installation. Anyone got a copy of "Cams for Dummies"?

Bill, are you using an adjustable gear, or sticking with the stock setup?
Crane cams has a section on their website on cam installation, but it's not model specific.

Jeff,
I have the stock setup but I am open to changing to an adjustable gear if it will help me dial in a better setup. I have GoodParts GP2 cam.

Thanks guys,
Every little bit helps. I will master the dark art of setting a cam before it is over. If all else fails, I will ask my buddy to come by and help but I would rather do it myself. Short of pulling the block and having it re-reworked, I should be in good shape. I had it bored and sleaved with new AE pistons and the crank reworked about 12K miles ago. This should do it. It would be nice to toughen up the rods and crank but I don't plan on racing. I have reached my limit of tolerance. Living way out in the country offers little in the way of expert help and the few machine shops in the area (100 miles) really don't seem interested in working on LBC's. The one machine shop that I would have trusted is in New Orleans. Katrina did him in. With GoodParts triple intake, three concours ZS carbs, headers and free-flow exhaust, I should be good to go. I hope to be on the road in about a month. Weekends only cuts into my shop time. If ya'll run across any other good tech articles, pass them on.
