Nice photos Doug! That part of California has a natural beauty that is really quite special. One of my favourite recent memories is driving down from Tillamook to Eureka. The weather started out pretty rough but that only made it more dramatic! Too bad I was by myself so I had no one to share it with and I had to do all of the driving šŸ˜„!

Every time I decide that I have had enough of California politics and taxes, I find myself driving on some of the best country roads in the world. That resets my BS overdose monitor and I decide to stay a little longer. I just wish the group that is leading the campaign to split off that part of the state from the high tax low IQ part wins before I am gone.

It looks like it was a beautiful trip Doug. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Unfortunately, that is never going to happen.
As much as we are the butt of jokes and criticism by the rest of the US, they need us.
We are like the creepy rich uncle.

I had a great time - got to drive a friend's '67 MGB on a car run
to Ferndale,drove another friend's modified 2002 Toyota MR2 & was
very impressed with the power & handling. Then I drove my friend
Gordon's Porsche 924S up to Crescent City.Great handling car,but you
don't get the exileration like you do in a lesser handling car.
While we were in the Crescent City area I was looking for a guy
who has a Mini Cooper S & spotted two MGBs in a driveway,so stopped
& had a nice visit with the owner, Chuck, who told me that Larry, the Mini
owner was about 1/2 mile back.
On the way to Larry's,we passed a garage with a TR3 in it.Got to Larry's,
where he showed us his Morgan +4,Lotus Elan S3,and the Mini Cooper S.
See the pictures in the "Spotted" forum.
Amazing just what you come across.

I miss the Redwoods & the scenic coastline & the people,
but don't really want to move back.
I need to find a way to put the best of California & Virginia together.
