Cable & Pipe Routing

Country flag
Offline
When dismantling my basket case BJ8 I noticed that the wiring harness and brake pipes had been badly damaged where they ran beneath the chassis rails. I'm replacing both with new ones.

I'm considering running these on the tops of the rails, inside the transmission tunnel. There seems to be enough clearance.

Are there likely to be any problems with this?

Has anyone else done it, or found other routes less exposed to damage? I believe some rally cars ran them inside, but I'd rather not do that.
