Busted

Thanks all. Saw my new podiatrist today and he thinks it already looks much better. He says my right foot will probably be healed quicker. That's good since that's the gas-pedal foot and I want to go racing in mid-May.

Left toe is shattered (his words), but he didn't bother counting the number (the emergency room Doc was young....he said the younger Docs tend to do that). But it should heal decently because I have "very good circulation and pulse, plus low blood pressure" (again, his words).

He asked about the broken rib and I mentioned the karting accident.

That's when he told me he had bought a <span style="text-decoration: underline">1991 ALFA-Romeo Spider</span> last week. He was waiting for it to be trucked from Connecticut this week.

At which point we dropped the discussion about my stupid feet and talked about something much more interesting: European sports cars! Had a great chat. Nice guy! I told him to take photos so I can see it on my next visit.

When I got home Linda says: "<span style="font-style: italic">How does this work? When I go to the doctor, I talk about health issues.....when you go, you talk to your doctor about cars!</span>"
(My other orthopedic Doc just got a Porsche 911/997 and we always talk cars too.....and my primary care Doc has a semi-hot Mustang and wants to go karting with us the next time we go).
