Im having a tough time getting the rear bumperettes mounted on the bugeye. I purchased new upper and lower brackets from Moss but they appear to be off a bit in shape. I thought about trying to bend them but this is spring steel. I wonder if I should bolt the brackets tot he car first then use the bolt to pull it all together?

Maybe I'm missing something, I know I'm not the first person to get new brackets.
 
Bolt the brackets to the bgumperettes loosly then bolt the brackets to the car. Center all and tighten.
