There are probably dozens of Lotus Seven clones available, with lots of internet pages related to this neat little roadster.
One of my favorites is the McSorley Seveneque page, which is based on the popular "Locost" clone. McSorley's pages include free downloadable CAD drawings which are pretty good:

I've been thinking about building a Locost for a while now. Likely based on an early 80s Corolla. Nice and light with a neat hemi head OHV motor and 5spd gearbox. Maybe Toyota LE van or Hyundai Stellar uprights (Corolla has struts). Likely start next year or so.
 
Keep us posted on the build dave. I would like to do the same car with the 4age but at 19 I'm going to have to wait awhile. The practicality of the new Elise may keep me from it though.
