12/26 - Bugsy IV is now on jackstands with all 4 wheels off of the ground and Front tires off. I did get started taking front Suspension apart. LF Brake is off and bagged. Now working on getting castle nuts off so I can drop the suspension and strip off down to attachment points so I can hang the new wishbone. Can't remove bolt holding shock on. Will turn freely. guessing I need to drop the spring to take the pressure off so I can remove the bolt. Have 2 hours available tonight. Time to put on warm clothing and dive into removing more parts and pieces. New front assemblies just need bolting on. Will need to paint steering rack and removing/loosening TR Ends is probably best done on the car to anchor things. 2 1/4 hours
1/27 - Finished removing remaining suspension pieces. This is the 4th Spridget I've stripped A-Arms off and the only one I was able to take apart without utilizing the SawZall. It all unbolted. Unbelievable. I did not think that was possible. Bushings needed replacement all around but A-Arm and Kingpin is absolutely sound. Not a wiggle period in the fulcrum pin. Anyone needing a solid replacement wishbone and kingpin for a drum brake Spridget I've got on that I will put up for sale and I'll know in a few days if I have a second one available. Bugsy came from CA, lived in Los Angeles his entire life and this car, one owned who knew how to maintain and lubricate the front end. I'll take a closer look at the wishbone and check for cracks but this looks like a good complete subassembly.

I will also have a MC, and complete brake setup. MC was new and in the car and brakes and wheel cylinders were new and I added Brake Fluid for the first time in September and drove the car in September and October after I got the car running. I am converting to Disc Brakes so new shoes, new Master Cylinder, A-Frames and Wishbones will be available for a very reasonable price. Brake Shoes were just getting broken in. More to follow. I can't believe it, a short tap with a hammer and A-Arm Mount bolts came right apart. No bushings rusted up, no need for the SawZall. Unbelievable.

I've put in my time on rusty Sprites. LOL.

Right Side Suspension totally stripped. Once again I have a matching pair of BE Wishbones, King Pins and a 3/4" Amco? Sway Bar available. Fulcrum pins absolutely solid. and tight. Absolutely no fore and aft movement. With a little degreasing and a new set of rubber bushings this one is ready for another BE or Mk II Spridget. Also available is a new Stock MC, installed by P.O. but MC was dry fluid never added until I did in September and October, Front and Rear Brake Shoes just getting broken in. Converting to discs Front and Rear. If you need BE Brake Parts and Suspension Parts on a Budget, IM me.

Bugsy IV live in Los Angeles his entire life and all of the nuts and bolts show it. Everything simply unbolted and came apart, good to go for another BE in need of some budget help. Next up, radiator is now drained, time to pull radiator and Steering Rack as Bugsy really needs Rack boots and will be getting new Tie Rod ends.

A SawZall will be your friend. I'm serious only way to get them apart if they have seen salt.
