Just a word to the wise. For any one doing a restoration or replacing the entire windshield wiper assembly on the Bugeye or any 1958 to 1967 Spridget. Install ALL the windshield wiper hardware first! I was waiting on wiper parts and went ahead and ran all the dash wiring, heater ducts and defroster vents first. Now I'm trying to retro fit the wiper cable and all the plumbing needed to attach the cable to the wheel houses. Give yourself all the room you can for this job!!!!!!!!!!

Ha, if you had only asked.

Not imposable but really a tough job. Not fun at all.

Remove bolts on dash and tilt it out and it will be a bit easier but not fun in any case.

I now have the entire dash laying on the floor ( with everything connected ) except the battery! The defrosters and duct tubes disconnected and out of the car and now I find out my cable is to short!!!! I'm going over to my local parts guy tomorrow to see if he has a unmolested cable in his stash of parts. Man is that area up under the dash ever dark!!!!!!!!!! At 65 I'm finding I don't bend as well as I used to!!!!!!!!!!!

If you think the BE Dash is an issue try a 68+ dash. I have a cracked dash like all later Spridgets and have a prototype fiberglass dash I bought in the back of my garage. It's been there for probably 5 years now and someday when I can find some local MOWOGS I'll have them change out my dash. I'm a few years younger but my hands just don't fit up there very well.
