Bugeye steering column grommet?

Sorry fellows. I am kinda having a hard time following this thread.

BE '59.

My chassis is 13550. Right now, I mounted the grommet portion of the accordian thing into the LARGE hole that is on the toe board, and the actual accordian portion of it faces the engine compartment.

For the column to rack connection, I just have a felt washer.

Is this not correct?

The bellow portion is supposed to go towards the interior, stretched over the outer column.
 
Yup, That is what mine looks like now (thanks to everyone here).
 
Thats a good photo, accordian to the inside and a felt washer at the rack.
