Bugeye Shell

What do you guys think of this one? I'm not sure I follow what he says about the front left A Arm attach point. The body of this one looks ALOT better than mine. If I could pick it up for a few bills it might be worth my time and speed up my resto. Then again, it could be full of bondo, hard to tell.

I had the same thoughts John!! I would say it really depends on what that reserve that hasn't been reached really is!! Remember, bondo is removable and metal can be straightened if it is not rotten! The floors etc. looked good enough on this one that I doubt the body would have serious rot but may have accident damage!

Notice he says he'll end the auction for the buy it now price, but doesn't list the price. You may want to ask him what it is.

Hmmm, that is weird about the "buy it now". Maybe I'll shoot him a note. While it's interesting, I probably wouldn't pay more than $500 as that's all I can scratch together at the moment. But yeah, if it's solid, sure would be lots easier to restore that shell than mine!

John, I've got a shell here that I'm gong to have to weld in supports before I can even move it out of storage! All the exterior panels are fine, but the sub structure is pretty well gone.

Jeff,

On mine, I'll need to replace the battery shelf, rockers, floor pans, lower "A" post and patch the lower parts of the rear fenders. That's at least what I know now!

I can weld, so that's not a problem. It's just ALOT of work.

But still my plan is to get the car on the road and drive it a bit and sometime in the future tackle the body.

I heard back from the guy about the buy it now, he said all reasonable offers considered.

I was just going to post the same info, John!! I emailed him just out of interest, and asked what the reserve might be and he just responded: "make me an offer and I will post a 'buy-it-now'"!! I am not really interested as it is kinda far for me and I am working on another deal right now anyway!! Why don't you make him an offer!!!

Hmmm, the auction ended at ~$850 and the reserve not met. Oh well! I need to save my bux for other things now. It's kinda far for me too and my wife would kill me! lolol

That was a bit wierd the way he emailed you and me (and probably a lot of others) with that "make me an offer" line but it just kept going!
