Hello,
I am helping a friend prep Bugeye for VSCCA racing, and he is in need of some nice 5"x13" racing wheels. The VSCCA does not allow for wheels larger than 1/2" wider then stock. Any one have any thoughts, ideas, sources, websites, etc?
thanks

keep your eyes out for some used Chevy Vega wheels. I believe the VSCCA wants wheels that are stock or very close to stock so this would be your best bet. Same bolt Pattern. May need to up your studs to 7/16" though. Avail from Moss.

The Vega Came with 3 Styles of wheels if I rememeber. There 13X5 is a steel 12 hole wheel very similar looking.

Great website to find used parts like that. Sorts by Distance and price. As low as $15 a wheel I saw.

I've been very happy with my Superlite Wheels. I run spline drive, but I know the guys at VTO can help with any application. (As seen in Vintage Racecar Mag.)

13x5.5 is as narrow as we do at Superlite, most guys are runing atleast 5.5", because 5" in new wheels are getting near impossible t find in a good racing wheel. The SCCA H-production cars, not long ago got a rule change allowing them to run 6" wide wheels, so there may be some used wheels avaialable from the HP racers, a visit to the SCCA prod website might be worth it to find 5" wheels. If you go with the 5.5 (which it the better move as fr fitting ood race rubber), we have the Superlite GTR race wheels now. Give me a shout I work for VTO, and have from the begining of the Superlites and am their East coast distributor, now a good time to buy GTR, as there is going to be price increase real soon. FWIW, we are now the proud sponsor of 4 time SCCA HP champion Tom Feller, I put that deal together for VTO and Superlite. Nice Healey Doug.

Thanks Hap,

If we had a shop like Acme here in Portland, OR I'd probably be racing a Sprite.
