What holds the bugeye heater radiator in the heater box? AND: What is the purpose of the seal shown as item 1b in the Moss Catalog, on the heater page? AND: What is the gasket made of that goes around the opening at the bottom of the heater box? Thank You

The radiator rests against the two metal tabs and is held in place by the clamped hoses on mine. I'm not sure, but I think the foam gasket is the material you glue on the heater core where it rests against the tabs. I have an original service manual, and that gasket is not shown-again, that's why I think it is material that goes around the heater core. The gasket I purchased from Moss between the box and body is rubber.

Yes and Yes....I have an OEM core with the foam rap at each end.... the box to body deal you can make easy.... who's going to know....or give Moss a bit more money....
