When I bought my car, the heater blower was not attached to the engine bay. There are two grommets that go between the heater blower and the bracket. There are also two holes the same size at the bottom of this bracket. Do two of the same grommets go in these holes too? I don't see anything in Moss or VB for this.
Thanks,
Kevin

Those grommets fit in the hole, it protrudes out on top and bottom.
There is also a small sleeve that fits in the hole, then it gets bolted to the car. Sort of an anti vibration set up similar to the windshield wiper motor.

I am still confused. Does anyone have a picture of all the parts that are utilized in attaching the heater blower? I have looked on line and can find no details on how the heater blower is attached to the brackets or how it attaches to the engine bay. There are four holes in the front bracket and one on the post in the back that are approximately 1/2". I would think that the same grommets would go into all five holes and yet VB shows that only three grommets are needed. Any pics or references where I can go would greatly be appreciated.
Kevin

Only three, two on the front one one on the rear.

Two of the holes on the front bracket attach it to the blower.

Hope this picture helps, I do not have one of the front side.

wouldn't they be where it attaches to the car?

That would make sense, but all there is are two nuts fastened in place from underneath. It looks like there are two 1/4 inch small bolts or screws that go in the front bracket. There has to be some type of grommet or spacer that goes in the front two holes, because the holes are 1/2". Does anyone have a close up of the front bracket attached to the car?
Kevin

A rubber gormet goes in the hole then a bolt with a washer into the capture nut on the firewall.

My 65 did not have rubber grommets where it attaches to the car. The rubber grometts are between the bracket and the motor housing. Unfortunately the catalogs do not show the brackets and their parts. I don't think my heater was removed before me.

Whats a little more noise?

Mark
