Here's an old grille for you Bugeye guys:

Ebay Bugeye Grille

d59c_1_b.JPG

Just noticed it while searching for grilles for my Midget.

I saw that and was interested till I got a closer look /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/pukeface.gif !! The one I have (which is rough) is way better than that! A tad overpriced for the condition!!

Also, he says it has been painted. Hmmm. And, I'm always a bit skeptical about bidders who put more effort into describing the form of payment they'll accept than the item itself. Also, as a customer, I don't appreciate being lectured in the way he does. I think I'd give this one a pass.

Here's a stupid question.....how do you tell an original grille from an aftermarket one? I think mine is an aftermarket piece, but I don't have anything to compare it to! Thanks.

That was the "roughness" I was referring to as well! It MIGHT be worth considering IF the asking price was a LOT less ( he should have started with .99 cents!) Bought cheap enough, one could spend a little more time in trying to smooth it out more and then using a DECENT paint (I don't think chroming would adhere to bondo!!) to make it a passable alternative until a good grill could be found!!

An orginal has a small line crease around the top edge. It kind of looks like a mis trim when it was made.

If that was not clear I can try again.

I still can't believe your good fortune in finding that beauty, Jack!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/nonod.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Also have an NOS luggage rack and hand made glass wind wings on the way.

Think I am set at the moment if my rear bumpers ever come back from the chromer.

That's a sweet looking grille Jack - you are a lucky man.
