Bugeye gas line help

I am getting getting stainless steel gas lines made for my 59 Bugeye. I am having a difference of opinion with the vendor making these. The discrepancy comes when the line enters the engine bay. On both my bugs, the gas line comes in on the right hand side of the engine bay. The solid line stops at the front of the car and then there is rubber tubing that makes a 90 degree angle to the left, which connects to a curled tube connected to the fuel pump. I am assuming that this setup is correct since it was the same in both cars. Does this sound correct? Any help is greatly appreciated.

actually that line was one piece originally. AH Spares sells the correct line, made from copper, with the fittings installed.

I can't seem to find it, Mark. I looked under the fuel (petrol) heading, but it shows everything but the gas line.
