I am having trouble with new door seals I recently installed. They don't stay put, and they are so stiff that the doors do not fit right. I bought these from one of the major parts companies before finding out about MacGregor. I ordered a bunch of rubber parts a few months ago from them and was very happy with my order. So, has anyone ordered the Bristleflex seals from MacGregor? They claim to cure the very problems I am dealing with. Anyone had any experience with these? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I too need to see this answer.

I have them on my Mk 2 and after several months use I am pleased with them. They were very easy to install. I didn't like that the rubber tubing portion was open at the tops but a little bit of super glue allowed me to pinch them closed and they sealed nicely.

I installed these on my BE. MacGregor sent me samples to make sure I had the right color red. The seals fit without any clips, you can take them off any number of times, which I did. Highly recommended, compared to the so called problems that others have had. I would call him direct, rather than email, as he is a small shop.

Nice, glad to hear that red is now available.

Is it possible to see a pic of them drivers side up by top rear near door latch. That is where mine keep comming off. They just do not like that area.

Think I will call monday.

I just wanted to give a follow up. I sent in an information form last night, and MacGregor called me this morning. No one ever calls me back that quick. What an interesting and nice gentleman too! He spent a good 10 minutes answering all of my questions and even volunteered information on installing the door seals without me asking. Most companies I talk to try to get me off the phone as quickly as possible - how refreshing. He even offered to send me color samples if I wanted first. He stated he has been so busy that his website is at least five years out of date. He has more than what is listed on his site, so you may want to call him first. I will give you a follow up with pics once I finish. Thanks again for all of your help. I may just finish this car after all.

Here are some pics of Martin MacGregor's door seals on my BE. Probably need to take them off at the top and line up the seal better with the vinyl side panel.

Here is another. I cut the rubber seal to provide clearance at the strike. I used the original location of the trim screw which holds it on at the top.
