Bugeye bonnet mirror

My Bugeye came with a bullet style mirror on the drivers side of the bonnet and it's basically useless, but I forgot to have the holes filled. I would prefer a Lucas style mirror and I'm trying to find one with the same 1" hole spacing, but no luck so far. Any suggestions for a mirror that would fit the 1" spacing and look proper?
Thanks, Rut

I have a pair or original Lucas mirrors in great shape. I will check the shaft diameter today.

Thanks guys! Ray, it looks like I will have to redrill for whatever mirror I choose unless I go with the bullet style which I don't want to do. You can post pictures here or email the info.
Thanks, Rut

These are more likely nice reproductions rather than original Lucas.

Rut,

Why not use the Harley Type Mirrors. No additional holes to drill and mounts in windshield post hole. Add some sort of pop in grommet for the mirror holes.

Ray,
They look good to me...let me know what you $ for them and pm your PayPal info.
Thanks, Rut

I forgot to weld up the door mirror holes during bodywork, so went with the Bullet style again. I had wanted to put a lucas style on the bonnet wing, but in the end the Bullet looks ok

Ray,
PM returned.

I had the Lucas mirror on my MGA and didn't particularly care for it. It worked well but someone was always bumping it and knocking it out of adjustment. I have the bullets as well and they are mounted so that the main thing I see is the windshield post. I intend on making up a "plinth" that angles them out a bit when I find the right material.

Kurt.
