There are lots of great resources on here about the BE body numbers, but I can't seem to find the one on the pass side upper footwell area near the wiring harness hole. Anyone have a really good description of where I should look? I think mine may not have been stamped- possible?

The number is stamped 2.5" down from the firewall on the top of the footbox.
It starts 1/2" in from the inner fender just to the left of the upper most wire harness tab.
These numbers are close to the chassis number, I am working on chassis # 16490 and the body number is 16132.
 
From under the bonnet, 2.5 inches down from the firewall probably under the wire harness just about where it comes out of the hole.
 
You may have to look very carefully. I just went and found my markings (27348), and it was very hard to read.
