I guess I'm getting excited about this budget restoration of my second TR3 that I purchased.The first one has been put on hold until I get a driver. If you have about 5 minutes to look at the pictures and read the captions, go to www.cardomain.com/ride/816145/8. Right. You are really into this one but who can blame you for wanting to go the extra mile. And as you say, a great way to learn your personal TR3 resto techniques.
 
Thanks for the kind words. I do seem to go a little overboard, but I would like it to look presentable on the street. Geo, your absolutely correct, I have to keep reminding myself that "it's just a driver".
 
Mine is also "just a driver" and I've driven it more than 92,000 miles in the last 16 summers. I restored it completely and correctly from 1987 to 1990. But even with all this mileage I was awarded 2nd in class (89.1 points) at TRA in Ohio in June and 3rd in class (91 points) at the Canadian Classic in July. So do it right, drive it often and hard, enjoy it and you'll have lots of fun. I enjoy beating the trailer queens who have just finished their restorations.

Several of you mentioned that you'd like to see pictures of the body off TR3 restoration. This is a work in progress, cause I keep finding other projects to undertake while trying to finish this one. So far the body and engine have been removed and the frame has been completed. Everything is new including a rack and pinion conversion.
