is there a cap sold to fit a stock diz and be able to use the EMI suppression wires?

Never seen one. If you have to have those, switch to a later BJ8 style diz, for which you can get a TR6 top entry cap for your plugin wires. Or a pertronix, mallory or 123 distributor.

I use a German made cap on my race motor. I'll look up the part number for you.

i think we are talking about the same thing. i could not think of the name for them when i wrote the post. i am looking for a wire that cuts the RF noise. high resistance wires. i assume i would need a cap that would do the push-in type connectors. Maybe not?

buying a new distributor to get the cap.... probably just go ahead and buy the Pertronix 1 ignitor. keep my 2 as a backup.

Ok you can alo cut the noise a bit BY:
1 using resistor plugs
2 using Resistor spark plug boots like the Bosch ones.
