while waiting for my block to get back from the machine shop, i started to take apart the side curtains. there is a hole on the inside at the front and top of the side curtain. it does not seem to go all the way thru to the outside... well a little hole is on the outside. what goes in the hole? i looked at the moss breakdown and a few others and can't seem to see anything there. but i also have a small wedge screwed to the outside at the bottom and back that they do not show.

anyway, what goes in the hole at the front?
Thanks

I believe the hole at the top front of your side curtains is for a small domed rubber grommet that keeps the side curtain from rattling against the pin that attaches the front of the hood mount. They're available from suppliers. I never could figure out the purpose of the small wedge screwed on to the lower rear of the frame. Maybe an attempt to have rain water divert from the screw below. Or just something the designer thought looked cool.

I have seen a rubber bumper for the brace in the back. According to moss it I see the same as the trunk lid bumper. I have one of those but it is smaller than the hole. Plus it looks like there may have been a screw from the outside. Did they use the same bumper and run a screw in from the back to hold it?

here is a picture of what i am talking about. the front curtain is the inside and the back one shows the outside. DSCN0390.jpg

that is it. so does the screw go all the way in to the bumper? i know the hole on the inside of mine is larger than the butt on the bumpers. so it would not stay in unless i glue it or the srew holds it.

There's no reason for the screw except to secure the bumper. I'm not inclined to take mine apart as they might self-destruct, I have no replacements and Moss doesn't list them.
