BT7 Dashpads

Hi - Does anyone have any experience with the dash top being offered by Moss?

Are there better options out there?

Thanks,
Jim

Years ago, I made a new dash pad for my 1960 BT7. As I recall it's nothing more that a thin piece of 1/8" ply wood covered by a thin piece of foam (about 1/4") covered by vinyl that matches the door/kick panels. Took a couple of hours to complete. Painted the defroster vents to match. Still looks great after 30 years.

The dash pad foam or whatever you use should be minimal, just enough to give very slight "loft" under the vinyl and nothing more. I suggest that 1/4" foam is probably way too much.
