Ok Healey heads Im preparing the block to go to the engine shop for testing cleaning etc . My engine guy wants a totally bare block
I have removed the camshaft bearings and engine tag as its going to be acid cleaned to remove all the paint crud n junk before testing .
So now the question what is this connection for I can see its brass so is it removable and how ??
This car was bought as a box car that's why I am not sure what the connection is . :encouragement:

That thought had crossed my mind . I don't think it was actually used as it was covered in crud n paint . I cleaned it off to what is was made of. I can only assume it was added by a previous owner ?? Was a block heater an available option in 62 for export vehicles ?

If that's what it is then I will just get it out and plug the hole once the block is fixed .

So lets assume it is a block heater . How do I get it out . Is it just a press fit in the block ?
