My wife and I are expecting about a dozen of the Australian racers to arrive at our place in Southern Maryland on May 31--mostly driving motorhomes and towing their race cars. On June 1 we are planning some local activities for them and the next day we are taking them in to DC where members of the Capital Area AHC Club will escort them to various museums, monuments, etc. We're also hoping to have a reception for them at the Australian Embassy that evening. From there they will be heading down to Carolina and racing at VIR the weekend of June 10-12.

Any BCF folks who would like to come by are welcome.

I'd love to go. My 100S restoration will be done (the car has been out of sight for over 40 years and it would be a fun event to bring it out for. However it is all on the wrong coast for me. Too bad!

Greg,
Where about in CA are you located. i would love to come and see your car.

I am in the Tustin/Irvine area of Orange County. The car is still in Canada finishing it's restoration. I really lucked into finding it. I bought it from the origianl owner with 3500 original race miles. It has great history and was an original works car with very speical equipment different from the production 100S.

Hopefully the car will be done in the next 2 months and I would be happy to have you visit. Just stay tuned for a while. It was supposed to have been done last August so I am not going to count my "Chickens before they hatch." The gaol is to have it done by the Monterey Historics and have the original owner/driver entered with the car. We will see how it all goes.

Greg, I'm in Laguna Beach and would love to drop by when you get the car back. Just curious, is Rich Chrysler or Mike Salter working on your car?

Cheers,
John

Greg, it would be nice if you had som pictures of the ultimate Healey. There is possible a 100 S that nowbody knows where is. I dissapered 1960-1970, possible in a garage fire somewhere in the north of Sweden. So there is still hope for a barn find 100 S.

John,

Mike S. is involved as consultant and for some needed parts location.

Karl, there is indeed hope. My car was put away in 1961 and has been out of sight since. I only found out about it by chance.

Greg

Someone needs to find that 100S reported in Ireland, too. It is an ex USA car and could help solve some 50's mysteries.
