Brussels Sprouts on the Stalk

I just discovered Brussels Sprout on the Stalk. Heaven on Earth! (It doesn't take much to make me happy.)

Don't eat the stalk... What was the price per pound. Here, where they actually grow them, off the stalk, they go for 1.99 to 2.99 per pound.

They wanted $6.99 per stalk! Sorry, I will buy a bag of Sprouts for less than 3 bucks and peel the yellow leaves off. Sure were pretty, though.

We get them bulk, no yellow leaves...

Umm Umm good.

Love the little cabbages.

I've always said I don't like 'em but now that I think about it, not sure I ever ate one. Growing up, the kitchen stunk to high holy... and that alone turned me off. How do they compare to the taste of cabbage? I like cabbage but this has got me thinking I've been missing something all these years.

Think "cabbage light"!

I love the little devils - go great with ham.

& if you dip them in catsup or a good cheese dip, they taste even better!

CRETIN! :jester:

Mickey....Have ya dipped them in a corn meal mix & deep fried them?

Anyone who's had a British Mum HAS to like brussel sprouts! They are an integral part of "fine English cuisine!" :jester:

I especially like them cold the next day from the fridge. Gotta have some good vitamins and stuff in those little bombs. Yummy.

Nope - but it does sound tasty...

...as long as you deep-six the catsup and Velveeta! :hammer:

'at's OK, Tony. I'll have mine straight up!

Although, the crawfish boil thingy is intriguing...

...if we could only get crawfish up here on Rocky Top!

I prefer Creton, Mickey

I used to love brussel sprouts as a kid until I got a worm in one at a restaurant. Haven't eaten them for about 50 years and don't think I ever will.
