Brrrrrrr!!

Lots of frozen pipes happening around here... it's to be expected when the high is only in the low 20's. Next week it gets worse.

We've been near zero all week, but it's warming up to a toasty 30 today.

But next week - back to the same ol' same ol'

Elliot - frozen pipes around here too.

(by the way, that photo is from the 1902-04 Scottish National Antarctic Expedition. Quite a story.)

That's funny Tom!

All teams have played in snow storms. Remember the Ice Bowl? 1967 Packers vs Boys. Play or go home. 2013 Eagles Lions Snow Bowl.

Just got word from our neighbor at the beach, that a pipe burst in our house and water was running out all of the doors. They got the water turned off but we are expecting the worst. I'll know more when we get there tomorrow.

Oh man, sorry to hear that! Hope it isn't to bad.

That SUCKS, Jim!! Really sorry.

We narrowly averted a similar situation here on Thanksgiving day. If the line had waited another hour to let go, we'd have been gone for the day and returned to a home with the waterline on the walls.

Pure luck on our part.

Jim, sorry to hear about water. Surprised for MB SC to be that cold. Anybody with sprinklers may experience same frozen pipes so keep a watch out.

Yesterday was the birthday of one of my grandkids.

It's single digits (F) here. So we went swimming.

We called it her "brrrrrrrr-thday"

You can bet we dried our hair real well before going outside afterwards.

Even though I don't follow football, everyone here is buzzing about this big game. The stadium is about 40 minutes from my house. My younger son-in-law works for the Jets so we might have been able to get a decent deal on tix but no one was interested. Maybe if a local team was playing.

gee the low 20s would like be a heat wave up here in the great white north.
Wind chill right now is -39 F or - 25 for a high today and the rest of the week is forecast for the - 16 to - 20 degrees F

About this time in the month of August, we're gonna be complainin' 'bout the heat!
