November 3rd. It's a great show with the Battleship, NC in the background, which of course you can go aboard for a fee. There's classes for other makes of cars also. It's a great show with a great group of people hosting the show. A very enjoyable day. Wilmington also has some wonderful shops and restaurants on the water front across the river. Come and enjoy a wonderful day with some wonderful people. You'll be glad you did!

Hi There Paul;

Where in SC do you live? I`m giving some "VERY SERIOUS" thought on moving to the Greenville Area (Travelers Rest) to be exact:

Wish I were there now: I believe I would be able to stir up enough interest to get somekind of caravan started:

Perhaps next yr;

Regards, Russ

Well Russ, I live 25 miles west of Myrtle Beach, a little south of the old tobacco town of Loris among horse, tobacco and cotton farms. It's about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic to Greenville from my place. The Wilmington event is 72 miles from here. PJ

Re: Nov 3rd, Britts at the Battleship. Wilmington

Howdy Paul;

I spent a few weekends in Myrtle (Pawleys Golf Plantation) to be exact: A friend has a home there (Must be nice)!

We also go ea. yr. down to "FRIPP ISLAND"; Just outside of Beaufort (Its absolutely Gorgeous there):

How far is Wilmington from Greenville?

Send pics Paul;

Re: Nov 3rd, Britts at the Battleship. Wilmington

Hi Russ, Well I think it would be fairly close to 3 hrs to Wilmington from Greenville. I'm not sure, but I'll bet there's some guys on the forum that would know. We had a great time at the Wilmington show. Cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Loads of cars there.
We live in a very nice area out in the country among horses, cows and a rooster crowing in the morning at times. Greenville is a nice town. Lots to do there and in the surrounding area. If we had to do it over again, we probably would have moved to the western part of the state.
We own a 20 acre horse farm with a rodeo arena in Oklahoma about 65 miles east of Tulsa that our son takes care of for now. That's why I'm in Oklahoma a lot. Property values have risen drastically here in the past 5 years and we might move to the farm in Ok. Not sure yet. If we do, I'll probably build her this house, (Artists conception), and tear down the old house, as it was poorly built many years ago. PJ

Hi Paul;

Very, Very Nice! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif What`s the sq. footage?

Personlly; I would put a 4 or 5 bay garage on it (Wish I had 3 bays right now) but perhaps in Travelers Rest, SC:

Best Wishes on Your move;

Thanks for the best wishes Russ.
The house is a little over 3000sq ft in the original configeration, not counting the garage. The garage will be for my wifes use and the MG. I just had a new 40+60 workshop built,(photos), in addition to the horse barn so I don't need the garage for my use. Photos are during construction, no windows yet. PJ
I don't know how we ever got started on this conversation in the Events forum, but I guess no one will mind. Hope not.
