British Motor Heritage Certificate on My TR-2

I just received said certificate today. It lists TS 7433L as Signal Red, stone leather interior, wire wheels, and sliding sidescreen windows. All of the numbers match on the car, so thats a good thing. However, it makes no mention of the factory heater that is in the car. Was this a dealer installed option?

Thanks for any insight.....

Hey, Mark -

Heaters were often dealer add-ons. My certificate (TR3) had the same thing, plus the trim color listed was incorrect; it listed blue leather, but mine came with stone vinyl. Apparently, build records were not all that accurate!

[/ QUOTE ]Actually, the build records usually were pretty accurate. Trouble is, they were mostly handwritten (and probably long-ago faded) records transferred, often not that well, to microfilm. That film often is difficult to read, from what I'm told. I'm also told, though, that if you question data on your certificate, the BMIHT folks often will recheck and issue corrected certificates.
