We spent a wonderful week at the Austin Healey Association of Southern California's British car week. Fun/friendly people with the most beautiful Healeys (44 was the total, I think) We had a flat and broke a spoke on the way down but all in stride. The venue was beautiful Big Bear Lake, CA. Very small compared to Lake Tahoe where I live but still nice to drive around.
The surprise for us was that Car Crazy with Barry Maguire was filming and interviewing us for an episode. I'll keep you posted as to when it airs on Speed Channel.
During some down time between the many events, my wife and I hit the antique stores. She pointed to a neat oil can but next to it was a MINT King Dick jack, no handle. Well, for 65 bucks I have a trophy (I have a BJ8 and need a Shelly jack).
Nine hours of straight driving each way but it was worth it.
