I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good British Car Magazine, I used to subscribe to MG Ethusiast which was a nice maagzine but I don't want to read anything about the new off shore re-invention of the MG name, basically I don't want to read about any british car made after 1979

Doesn't have to be MG specific, just a good overall magazine that focus on british sports cars.

Classic Motorsports is a good magazine. Not all British, but a lot of it is, and a good deal of the articles on non-Brit cars are helpful and interesting:

Another that is from UK, and again not all Brit, but loaded with British and others is Classic and Sportscar magazine.

I've always been a fan of Practical Classics. I also like Retro Cars (though it is more about dropping new engines in old cars). There's another one like Practical Classics but the name escapes me right now.

Don't have a favorite magazine for just one marquee, but if you like variety there's Classic & Sportscar Magazine. Comes from the UK, so it's a bit pricey, about $9 US I think. If there's one on the rack I'll usually take it over anything else.

I like all of the Brit car mags produced in England. But they are very expensive and you will get irritated because all the ads are for vendors are in England. You will see smoking deals on things like seats that you cannot get here. They also cover a lot of cars we never got. I still read Practical Classics when I can get my hands on one, as they have excellent "How to..." articles. Best bet here is Classic Motorsports. It used to be British Car, but got bought and changed a bit (for the better in my opinion). My only complaint is that it is starting to focus more on collector cars, something I cannot afford.

My favorite is Classic and Sports Car. It has great quality photography and printing, good text content and covers a variety of cars from vintage to some fairly modern classics up to the 70s era. It's a bit expensive at $72 per year, but I think well worth the expense. https://www.classicandsportscar.com/
You can subscribe directly through their US distributors at EWA https://www.ewa1.com/order2cs.html

All good choices. Depends on what you are looking for. Practical Classics is more hands on, but lacks the breadth and production/story telling of Classic and Sports Car.

You could, of course, just get several!

I agree,Hemmings Sports & Exotics is one of the few
that I subscribe to.Classis Ford is the best, but it's all
about Fords.A lot of the English magazines are around $100/-
year to subscibe to,+ the ads for cars for sale are usually
old by the time it arrives here.
I visited Hemmings in VT.,& got to meet 3 of the writers.
They're into the cars,as they all have British cars/projects.

just found the other magazine I've been enjoying - Classics Monthly - hands on like Practical Classics and, for something completely different I've recently picked up a couple of copies of Street Rodder which also has some very interesting "generic" articles like shaping metal.

Hi There Jer,

I subscribe to "Classic Motorsports" & can`t wait for ea. issue to arrive. They`ll be happy to send you a "Complimentary" copy for your viewing pleasure (So will "Classic & Sports) & Then You decide which you prefer.

Check out www.ClassicMotorsports.net / You won`t be dis-appointed.

Regards, Russ
