I'm guessing (and its only a guess) that this hasn't gotten a lot of response due to the low number of people here who have cars that require Whitworth. I do because of the Damiler, but he MGs and Triumphs, etc crowds probably not. It does seem to be a good deal if we could scare up enough folks with a requirement for Whitworth tools. I'll be putting out a newsletter soon and will reference your offer in the Newsletter. There may be a lot of members out there who might be interested but who don't frequent the forum enough to see this.

Thought it might be interesting to see the responses. Instead then, why dont I put it to the members of the forum. What tools, fasteners, taps/dies would you like at a reduced price.

This forum has been great to deal with so far, and I would love to offer its members any savings I can!

I don't require much for my Healey- there's only one nut that I know for sure that is Whitworth, though there may be few others lurking about.

But those of us with these odd requirements can often find an equivalent tool and make do with that. I've ended up using a 1 11/16 ths socket instead of the proper Whitworth wrench or socket. I won't use it much... and the price difference was substantial (from a local Scottish vendor).

I suspect many others with only infrequent needs for Whitworth tools may similarly substitute close equivalents....

They carry more stuff than just Whitworth tools (which I needed because of my 50 Daimler). I think what he's asking is not what folks don't need, but what they do that he might be able to work a special deal on for forum members. I'm thinking some of their BSF thread fastener packages /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
