British Car Field Day, Sussex, WI...A full report

I went to the BCFD in the Milwaukee area on Sunday. Warm and humid with a slight breeze, the weather was certainly made for top down crusing. Great turnout of cars...maybe 175?

I was somewhat disappointed that the early Jags were MIA...only one '56 XK-140. But there WAS an Austin A40 pseudo-drag car (wow?), a red flamed Rolls Royce Corniche (?) and some other interesting cars.

Lots of MGB's, TR6's and Big Healeys. TR4's were plentiful, too but only about 7 TR2/3's. Mine would have been the earliest Triumph in the show...

Here's a few pics...

Fabulous '48 TC...beautiful color, too. (Maybe a good color for my TR2?)

Excellent pictures. Thank you for sharing them with us. I really enjoy seeing pictures from States-side car shows. Some beautiful cars there. I like the TR4 roof!

An old friend used to paint the roofs of all of his circle track cars with a checkered flag paint job. The last time I saw him he was racing an old modified at the Wilmot, Wisconsin Speedway around 1970. A few years later he was killed while racing a midget at Angell Park Speedway also in Wisconsin.

That TR4 roof brought back memories.
