Depends what part of Glasgow, "Jimmy "

Nowadays one would think the predominant accent in the British Isles comes with a bit of a Paki twinge to it, especially if you rely on network news coverage!!

a few years ago I came across a review/extract of the Bible re-interpreted in Pommy rhyming slang. I don't know who published it but if any Pommy forum members could shed some info....it's very funny. I'm sure it references 'a bloke' many times.

for some of us uncultured "Amerikuns" Monty Python, Benny Hill, and Dick Van Dykes charecter in Disneys' Mary Poppins is all the British accent they know.
