John Twist is out of the Alda/Grand Rapids area. A friend of mine in Farmington has had good luck with Guy's Garage, phone# 248-349-3649.

Phil Bove of The MG Car Shop in West Milford, New Jersey (973) 728-3096 actually repairs and ships MG engines. Look at the "send us your engine" webpage on his website. The MG Car Shop: "Send us your engine"

I had a friend in California with an MGB, he boxed up his engine and mailed it to him. Phil rebuilt the engine and shipped it back. This is not the answer to your problem if you just need a tune up.

I live more than 100 miles from Phil. It is worth the drive or the tow to find an expert on MGs in your area.
