The leather on the TR8 steering wheel is dry, and needs some rejuvenation. Any suggestions on the best product to revitalize the finish?

I used some leather treatment for seats on the MGB LE steering wheel, it was great at first but didn't last long it probably needs to be built up with multiple applications....Anyone else got any other suggestions?

Has anyone ever tried good old saddle soap?

Saddle soap is apparently not a good cleaner but is better used for restoring leather to a softer state.

When I first read this I thought it was actually bad for leather but reading into a bit more it seems appropraite for softening.

It should be available at a shoe store or any horse place. I would think even WalMArt might have it.

I think something like Lexol might be a better choice though.

Thought about saddle soap, but figured it was for softening/cleaning. May try it, though...
