You poor thing! 2 Fahrenheit here currently. Wind chill -15. A little brisk on the front porch /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Our brand new hotshot electronic indoor/outdoor thermometer read 8.3 outside at 6:30 this morning. Weather.com said it was 9. Whatever, it's colder than a witch's... um... It's colder than a well digger's... um... shovel! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

OTOH, the high here will be in the 40s tomorrow - Shorts and t-shirt weather!!!!

Yeah. If I run the indoor heat at all, it'll usually be a few nights sometime in early to mid December and maybe a night or two in January.

I guess that's why they call it winter. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Where's this Global Warming thingie I hear so much about?!?!

Strange, seems to always happen around this time of year.

Isn't it? And I, for one, am glad it does! Change is good!

BAH! Cold makes the leaves fall off all my shade trees, the neighbors hate it when my yard gets set on fire! I don't "rake" leaves any more than I "mow grass". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

When I went out for my run this morning at 5:30 am, it was 7 degrees....7 degrees F. My personal record to be out running is 3.

stamford ct. 31 deg. wind cust over 40 m.p.h. tonight 23 deg.- has threat of snow, same thing happened last year about the same time, repositioned the plow for easy hook up,i dont mind driving the healey in this cold but will stop when the white stuff falls, then ill pull the trans for a complette rebuild, sticky downshifting into second already got all the parts then itll be frustrating. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

Just plain cold here whatever the temp was/is.

Yes, a trifle chilly here too. I have to say to my Canadian friends, "Thank you for being so sharing with your air mass, but I have had enough fun, and would you please be kind enough to take it back?"

I don't mind the cold so much... its the going to work in the morning and coming home at night in the dark for both that I dislike.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

He thinks I am the pits usually as I will not let him buy or sell or even make recomedations, just do as I say and I do not thrash stuff. I go years at times without moveing anything.

Me too. I like it cold. I feel for the people that have to stay outside working all day when it's 15 out though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That's for sure...I have a hard time even calling what I do work sometimes.

When I worked for Morton Buildings in Illinois I was 'priveleged' to get to help make winter construction safety videos. One video shoot that we did was on a -15 degree day just north of Springfield Il. It was so cold that the hydraulic lift that I was supposed to use blew its hydraulic lines so I had to climb around the roof with my video camera doing some very unsafe things while making a video on safety. I kept praying that the camera would freeze up. Blasted thing never did, which actually says a lot for the quality of equipment I had at my disposal. I even left it outside while I took warm up breaks (so I wouldn't fog the lens) in my van that ran with the heater blowing the whole time. Took the entire hour drive back to Morton with the heat on high to thaw out. Even after multiple breaks to warm up during the shoot. +15 degrees would have felt like summer that day. Stupid production deadlines. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

My co-worker thought it would be cool to go ahead and lean the earth back over the other direction. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
