brake servo

Hi, I just purchased a lockheed brake servo to install on my BN4. I just wonder if anyone knows where on the late cars the brake servo was installed? Does anyone has a picture where it is installed, or has anyone installed a brake servo before in his car? Some advice on where to install would be welcome.
thanks
Dirk :savewave:

OE servos were mounted to the passenger side (on LHD cars) toe board, behind the RF wheel inner fender.

Someone with a BJ7/8 will have to post you a picture, as I don't have one (I know, hard to believe...).

Do you still have drum brakes on all (4) wheels? I'm kind of surprised that you want to add a servo, as twin-leading shoe (front) brakes have a servo action built into the design.

Andy, Randy, thanks for the information. I was looking at the driver side for some location, but indeed this makes more sense. To anwer your question, no, I'm also installing front disk brakes. With the kit from AH Spares this is a straight forward job. The servo is something else, but I will also get a new brake line set from AH spares for the MK3, and the original bracket for the servo, so with all of that it should go easy.
thanks
Dirk

hi me again,
I was looking at Andy's pictures of his car (nice job by the way)and I saw it is a RH drive car. So the servo is at the driver side in this case. It is sure it is mounted at the passenger side for the LHD cars?
Thanks
Dirk

RHD or LHD, the servo is apparently mounted in the same location (on the RH toeboard). Exhaust heat would be its downfall on the LH side.
