MGB Brake problems

Hello i have a 1965 mgb and the front right side brake is locking up but releases very slow and always rubs. i have replace brakes calipers and rotors. Everything on rear is new as well. Any ideas?

Replace the hose to the caliper. They break up inside and cause a valving effect. If that solves the problem, replace the other side also. If it drags all the time, the caliper piston might not be fully returning due to sticky residue in the cylinder. Most obvious is the hose. Worth a try. PJ

:iagree:

Most likely culprit. Might as well replace them both anyway, especially if they have a few years on them. Keep us posted on how you fare.

Thanks i will try that. This car sat in a barn for 25 years when i found it. now three years later it finally getting back on the road

While you're at it, replace the third hose, at the differential in the rear. No sense bleeding the system again when that one gets brittle or clogged. Great to hear there's another one "back from the dead"!
