man am i confused on this! looking to replace all brake lines on my 67 sprite ... are the fittings on 67 sprite brake lines whitworth threads or not? any recommendations on where to get new pipe? i see listings in VB but i am confused by the statement that these lines are not compatible with early sprite whitworth threads. do the new VB lines listed in the catalog come with the proper fittings and flanges? and then finally, since the lines come in specific lengths, are these lengths indicative of what you would need for each of the various runs? wow! i really don't want to order something only to return it because it's wrong. any other suggestions on what to do (other vendors) would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the Moss set when I needed to replace one of my brake lines this past spring. They needed to be bent, but had the ends all ready to be attached with all the fittings in place.

thanks for the response. it looks like classic tube may not have a ready replacement kit for a 67 sprite. looks like i may go with the moss kit. anyway .. thanks again ... boy those SS tubes sound nice!

i'll call. the set looks like it will porbably cost about 75-100 bucks more than moss. i'd have to weigh the benefit of SS and prebent tubes versus cost.

f. Bending tubes is VERY easy. I have made the tubes, and you can too. I have the dimensions. Also note, that the UK tube kits (Moss, et al) do not include a clutch pipe. PM me if you need details.

classic tube doesn't have a premade set of lines for a 67ah. they told me to send them the original lines (not all of which i have) and in 3 weeks will send out the tubes. cost apporx. $200. i don't know, sounds like with a little elbow grease i could do this myself.

I have just not made up my mind, I have all the old tubes and they are clean and such but still look old. Considering what to do, use old tubes, get Moss kind and bend, get pre bent ones. Guess how and why they have Bugeye tubes, hehe.

I did it. They had ones for Midget MK I and I pointed out that they were the same as a Bugeye.

Did not offer me a free set though.

Jack - Thanks, nice site.

I made all new ones for my BE years ago. It required a bender and double flaring tool. The cost is probably $50-75 for the tools. Then throw in another $50 bucks for the tubing and it is time consuming. I would by the ss kit from them if I had to do it again.
