Brake line nipple size

I'm about to remove my PDWA for rebuilding and would like to capture as much of the fluid from master cylinder resevoir as I can. It is silicone so I'm not worried about paint damage, but still would rather not have the mess everywhere.

Any idea what size tubing would fit over the rigid brake line nipple. I'm thinking I'll snake a couple (make that four) lengths of tubing down into a jar once I disconnect the lines.

An alternative method is to completely fill the master then put a piece of plastic bag or Saran wrap over the reservoir, then put on the cap. Very, very little will drip out, and, you also save having to do much bleeding. I've done this for decades and you lose maybe a drop.

Yet another approach is to use something to depress the brake pedal just a bit, enough to close the valves in the MC. I use a big woodworking clamp that has been modified into a spreader, but a length of wood would work just as well.
