Is there a location/store that a brake line flairing tool for the British type flair on the end of MGB lines, for one, can be purchased? I have all the tools for the American type lines, but none for the different type end on the British lines. I can't seem to find one anywhere. PJ

Living out in the sticks like I do, a Snap On guy is hard to find, but we do have a guy who sells Mac tools. I'll talk to him. Thanks for the input. PJ
 
The MAC set works the same. The most important thing I've found to getting a non-split bubble flare (and this even works with the 'cheezy' anvils) is to smooth/clean the ID and OD of the line with a fine file at the end and then dress it with some sandpaper first: To remove any chance of stress risers at the leading edge.

I know it sounds goofy, but it makes a difference!
 
Thanks Doc, I'll make sure I'll do that. I have some jewlers files for the inside and they are very fine. Would 400 emery be fine enough for the outside? PJ
