The brake light modulator came yesterday and I'm really impressed at what I can do with it. Safety in the 3A is always on my mind when I'm driving; it's like a kidde car compared to all the Yukons and trucks on the road. What this little $35 gadget does is perfect.
It will do ANY or ALL of the following:
1) Flashes my brake lights 5 times when I press the pedal then they stay on until I lift my foot off the pedal.
2) Flashes my 3rd brake LED light 3 times, then stays on for 3.5 seconds then repeats the flash and repeats until I lift my foot off the brake pedal.
3) By running 1 hot wire via a SPST toggle switch, it will continually flash all 3 brake lights. Perfect if you're on the side of the road. You could mount the toggle under the dash or even in the trunk.
All it takes is 1 ground connection, and the normal brake switch wire (the one in the trunk) as signal input, and optionally 1 12v wire for 3) above. The unit is the size of a small box of matches and has an adhesive patch. There are three output wires one for 1) above continues to the rear brake lights, one for 2) above goes to the 3rd brake light, and one for 3) above goes to the switched 12v power source.
This is a must have for all older TRs IMHO. nfi but this thing will help me enjoy driving more.
