Brake fluid question

Another newbie question.
I have the Hanes repair book but I can not seem to find the answer.
I have a 78 MGB, I know where the brake fluid goes in the MC, but what is the small round container in between the firewll and MC. I can not read what is stamped on the cylinder. It has a very small amount of some liqiud.
Is this some type of overflow, or should it be filled to near the top and with brake fluid?

By your description, the other container is the hydraulic clutch linkage fluid container.
This container should be filled up with normal brake fluid, same as the brake cylinder. Use clean, fresh "DOT-3" or "DOT-4" brake fluid.
The clutch system on your MG uses a hydraulic linkage. This is common on Brit cars.
Other types of clutch linkage systems include cable systems and mechanical sytems (levers and rods).
