I posted a while back about how I had purchased a brake booster and it made an audible hissing or sucking noise when I hit the brakes. I also felt the boost, already modest on these cars, wasn't up to snuff.

The booster I got was from one of the big three. Cheapest I could find. It also had metric fittings, not that big a deal, but still...You get what you pay for I guess.

Anyway, the better part of the story is that I had my booster rebuilt by Power Brake Exchange in Palo Alto, they had it rebuilt in a day, $132.50 plus shipping both ways. Works great, thought it was a pretty good deal, they did replace the inner diaphragm as it was no good.
