As Jack and others have said, if your drums aren't adjusted properly you will get excessive pedal travel on the first pump. (...)

:shocked: Thank you for posting that... I've just realized that my two-pump pedal, which I had assumed was the result of air in the system, is actually just in need of a pad adjustment.

One more job to add to the 'before it goes away for the winter' list.

adjusting the rear drums takes 10 minutes tops !! and that includes the beer . . .
