Went to a show in Vinita, Ok last October the 8th and won a first place, but that's not what this is about. The local news paper sent me this photo they published in the paper and kinda pumped me up a bit, it explains itself. :highly_amused: PJ

Oh I forgot to mention, it was the only British car there!

Very cool

Paul, I'm afraid you're going to have to relinquish that beauty to me! I'll be over with a trailer in the morning!

Definitely bragging rights: That is impressive & so is your TF!

(only thing I've won with my 3 is a speeding ticket......but the Officer did say "nice car")

Nice car Paul.
You have earned the...

Thanks fellas, much appreciated. I didn't mention it but the judges were concurs judges, no popular vote at this show. PJ

TFs are just pretty cars to start with and yours looks about as nice as they come.

Ironic how when the TF first came out it was very much maligned. At the time, folks seemed to be looking for sleeker designs and were disappointed when MG failed to keep up with the times.

On the other hand, when the TD replaced the TC, it was not appreciated by the purists. And with the introduction of the TR4, they poo-pooed its roll-up windows and mourned the loss of the roadster and its sidescreens.

Just can't please some folks!

For the record, I love the TF lines over the TD and TC. Still has the early outboard fenders and running boards, but with a sleeker profile.

1500 only being made one year and the last of the stand up grills, kinda make them a little special, don't it. :encouragement:
