Oh man, that stinks! Boston is the #1 CD in my car's CD changer! I was just listening to them on the my drive back from Colorado Springs. I always thought they were way underrated and deserved to be a lot more "maintream" than they were. They had a very unique style and their vocal blending was superb - on par with the Beatles and the BeeGees I felt.

What an incredible, powerful singing voice. I was looking forward to another visit from them to Orlando.

judow, how unjust of one to imagine what thoughts ruminate another's mind, when we ourselves so often are unsure which thoughts to keep and which to leave behind. -- thats too bad sorry to hear it was like that.

What a way to go.

Wow...too bad!

One of the things I always liked about Boston was their engineering connection.
The other lead guy in Boston (Tom Scholz) was an MIT grad and used a lot of his engineering background to setup the interesting acoustics of the band.

But Delp...he was a singer!
Big loss!

Its like I said - I never understood what Boston wasn't a bigger hit than they were. I really thought their sound was unique.

Suppossedly other than the sounds that actually came from the piano, Tom Shultz did all other "Keyboard sounding" effects on his guitar. He invented the "Rockman" effects box box which was quite unique for its time. I had one for a time and toyed around with it for awhile. Actually made me sound pretty darn good for a drummer
