TR4/4A Bracing the tub for fender and sill removal TR4?

Anyone have a link to pictures of aTR4 body on frame where it has been braced for floor pan and sill removal? I would like to be able to remove/ install the door while doing the repair to check the door gap. Is there anyway to brace the body between the doors without welding? What does the brace that goes from the middle of the crossbrace attach to at the dash? thx Karl
 
This is not a TR4, but here's what I did on my TR6... I used a piece of angle iron and drilled holes to line-up with threaded holes in the A-post and B-post. Then it was just a matter of bolting the angle iron in good and tight.
With this setup you won't be able to install the door so it may not work for you.

Excellent pics Gliderman.I see that your body tub is completely supported underneath with a wooden platform. That would prevent the body from sagging while your doing the repair. My car is just supported at the front and rear by jack stands so I would have to support it better when I cut out the old floor and sill. Did you have issues with door gap on reassembly?
 
I actually made two frames. The top one supported the body and allowed me to move it around my small work area. The bottom frame is what I used to weld a new drivers side floorboard and rocker. I did not have any issues with my doors.

edit: there are other ways to weld in a new floor. The best way might be to weld the floor back in while the car is on the frame- this way you know it will all line up.

That second photo shows the car on its side... when I replaced the floor, I had the rig rotated so the floorboards were facing up. It was easier to weld that way.
