to go through the ebay Bugeye listings and see nothing that I need or want. A real joy.

Only a few more items remain and I do know where to get them.

Grill
Door seals

Man is my list of needs getting short, of course still have some wants but no bigees there, like.

Rear carpet kit.
Insulation for the whole thing.
Wind blocker.

It has been a long road it seems but is getting very very close.

Think I will put insurance on it as of 1 June.

Nice work, Jack. Sure been quite the adventure for you.

Now you need to change your BCF avatar, or Ms. Agatha is going to start wondering why you have a pictures of a different Bugeye there. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Not till I get a grill Drew. Just wouldn't be right.

Jack, it suprises me you don't have Miss Agatha insured, the cost is not really very much. What are you going to insure her for. It is a tricky quqestion for each of us to answer, what could you sell her for, verses what it would take to replace her. I've got 15,000 on mine and sometimes I don't think its enough.

Yep Jack, some people assume that their homeowners Insurance covers their project cars, but rarely is this the case. Haggerty offers "project" car insurance at a reasonable rate... but it looks like you are beyond that now.

Jack - USAA doesn't cover cars in the garage under homeowner's.....I have a storage policy on all mine with their specialty car insurance company.

Get the insurance coverage. Homeowner's insurance NEVER covers a policyholder's vehicle. In fact, all vehicles designed for road use are excluded from homeowner's policy coverage in all fifty states.

License the car for road use, and get at least stated/agreed value comprehensive coverage (i.e., fire; theft; vandalism, windstorm) on the car. No need for collision until you're ready to drive it, although some insurers won't sell you comprehensive without purchasing collision.

Remember, the vehicle is completely uninsured unless you add it to an existing auto policy or insure it separately on some kind of antique vehicle (Hagerty, etc.) policy.

And with Lucas electrics, a fire is looming!

I called USAA, they gave me Collectors Car Insurance as their suggested provider. Full coverage $12,000 agreed was 106 annualy with all coverages and liability etc.

2500 miles per year, lock in garage, no other restrictions.

Just may up the value to 16 seeing the recient sales, etc.

Yep, that's their collector branch...good people.
